SAOC's five-day instructional course provides a comprehensive overview of clinical ophthalmology for residents and practicing ophthalmologists. Specific emphasis is placed on preparing attendees for the annual OKAP, American Board of Ophthalmology examinations and Maintenance Of Certificate (MOC). In addition to certification or re-certification preparation, it serves as an excellent clinician update. All lectures are delivered by board-certified ophthalmology teaching faculty.
SAOC began as an intensive review for military ophthalmology residents based in San Antonio has grown to be an internationally recognized course with more than 250 civilian and military attendees annually. Formerly known as the Brooke Army Medical Center Ophthalmology Review Course, it was founded in 1993 by William C. Lloyd III, MD, FACS.
Registration fees for the lecture portion of the course include:
